Pharmacy Patient Advocacy Network provides information, education, advocacy, and practical advice to pharmacy patients including areas of health insurance claims, health and disability insurance, educational equity, and employment issues.
In addition, our Group strives to protect and promote the concerns of pharmacy patients in public policy primarily through education of other healthcare professionals as well the patients themselves. Our mission is to advocate for pharmacy patients through education and reaching out to other healthcare professionals as well as to educate and empower patients to become their own advocates.
Another component of our Non-profit program is our Physician Education Series. PPAN has partnered with MedicoRx Specialty Pharmacy to provide an educational series to enhance the practice of medicine through supportive care services and outreach. Our series is designed to match prominent clinical lecturers with patients and community groups who suffer from both physical and emotional demands of a serious illness. Our education program supports peer physician review as well as outreach to patients and caregivers as it relates to chronic disease states.
